When choosing the Massage Pad size for your horse, there are a few things to consider.
Firstly, your horse’s height and rug size, as well as their build, for example if they have a long back.
There is 10cm length difference between each size of pad, and the Extra Large Pad has an additional 2 massage motors to account for the greater surface area it covers.
If your horse is borderline between sizes, you should consider why you are wanting to use the pad. If your horse or pony has a long back, or perhaps struggles in their lumbar area, it might be better to size up.
When buying for use on multiple horses, we recommend considering the horse who will use and benefit from the pad most and buying the ideal size to fit them. However, if in doubt, the Standard Pad generally offers good coverage for most horses and ponies.
